THE COURSE OUTLINE
OVERVIEW
Hi Recruit. Welcome to the preface Module, an example module to give you instructions on how to take this course. The entire course is designed using Modules, Units, and multiple-choice Quizzes. A module is simply like a folder containing units. The units are multiple files in the folder containing the actual lessons. The course teaches you what you must learn first and then these lessons or units are always followed by a multiple choice quiz, which signals the end of a module, and once you are successful in passing that quiz, you will begin the next module until you get to your final quiz.
AUDIO OR TEXT
Each unit offers audio and text for you to listen or read to learn from. They are optional as the content of the audio is always the same as the text. You may also choose to listen and read at the same time.
CHECKPOINT
Now just before you get to the quiz for each module, you will be presented with a checkpoint. A checkpoint is a unit that specializes in recapping the main points delivered in that module, giving the learner a chance to confirm what they have just learned.
STUDY GUIDE
A Study Guide unit is also given about five times throughout the course. This study guide unit gives the learner a chance to momentarily break from the course and focus on memorizing a number of questions and answers which will appear on your MICAD assessments and also be used by the Private Security Regulation Authority to form a part of your interview for the PSRA license to become a legal security officer within Jamaica.
QUIZ
This course has Fourteen (14) multiple-choice quizzes in total. The learner must pass each quiz with at least an 80% pass mark to successfully move forward. If you get less than 80%, you won’t be able to move forward. You will have to retake the quiz again, as many times until you achieve 80%. Retakes for each quiz are not unlimited, they can run out, it would even better to go back and re-read through the materials again to make sure you understand each lesson in the module before going forward to take the quiz again.
HOW TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THIS COURSE
NAVIGATION ARROWS
To move from one unit to another, you may use the arrows at the top right of this page. The left or previous arrow will take you back to previous units, and the right arrow takes you forward to new units and closer to your finish line.
UNIT TIMER
Unit timers enforce a sense of discipline for the serious learner. Each unit has a timer at the bottom of the page. You must allow the timer to reach zero, before you will be allowed to move forward to see new content. If you go forward before the timer gets to zero, you won’t be able to access the next unit. You will be sent back to finish that same unit. Simply listen to each audio till its end, then the timer should be finished within that time.
MODULE DRIP RELEASE TIMER
After the learner has completed the first two (2) modules, the course will pause and hold you in that position for 24hrs at that position, and shows you the date and time when you will be able to access more units. This is so that you learn about Industrial Security two (2) modules at a time and better assimilate and retain the information bit by bit.
COURSE EXPIRY DATE
Now, right beside the arrows is found, the course expiry date, which serves as the tuition payment deadline, the course allows you 30 days starting today, in order to finish up this course, weekends are also counted. If you fail to log in on some days during your training, you will lose those days also. So do your best to finish the course before it expires and make sure you pay your tuition in full before, or on the expiry date. We can both agree that the longer you wait, the more job opportunities will pass you by.
TUITION COST
Your tuition is $18,000. There is no partial payment option for the Online Industrial Security Training course. But you do get to take the entire course free of charge and then you pay tuition to receive your certificate.
DIGITAL CERTIFICATE
Your MICAD certificate is a very popular and well-sought-after digital award. It is able to get you a job in any security company Islandwide. Once a learner completes any MICAD course, a certificate will always be available for pick up at the MICAD office. You may also contact us for your digital certificate to be made available to you by WhatsApp or email for easy printout. A digital certificate gives the learner an original printout of their certificate every time no matter where the file is printed. However, the printout must meet a certain standard of which we will give instructions for the printery to follow.
SUMMARY

Units are timed so it is recommended that you read all available content or optionally you may listen to the audio instead, in order to complete the topic, and make sure you finish your course and pay tuition before time runs out, you have 30 days, starting from the date you first enrolled in this course. Now go forward with confidence, make certain you have fun while learning, and take notes in your security training book to help you remember, for the PSRA license interview, and job interviews, and for your knowledge in your new career.
